Original content online is quite often not the norm with cut, paste, spinning, copyrighting and plagiarism taking a front page spot at times. This summary will pin point some original content oddities so there will be no mistake if someone says "I did not know".
Writers will sometimes publish an original article only to republish that several weeks or even a month later with a rejection on another website. The search engines categorize it, store it and will also reject one with specific similarities or exact contents. The second publishing in therefore not original content even though the owner is one in the same for both. It is considered plagiarism even though it is the author's work.
Some unique computer business software will pick up writing style and similarities in word usage. As this is obtained, like articles even though not just like the original content will be classified with that one or those computer selected writing pieces. Consider this similar to a finger print detector yet only a writing style or composition compilation.
One Internet site, associated content, now called Yahoo does not remove items like titles and author names so with some diligence an apt computer user and a business savvy individual could uncover that removed article. Timing might need to be reviewed before presenting that original content on another website to use it as original. This is factual proven in that a friend of mine sent me an email that it was with difficulty he found my article and commented on it. This article had been removed from that website 3 weeks prior to his email message to me. I, in fact ,could not view it since it was removed from my writing account. Vern then sent the link for me to view his comment and I was able to actually see my removed article as well.
There are Internet writing sites that specify original content will only be accepted. Factoidz is one of those writing sites demanding facts not blog or material that is not original. Recently the site implemented a caution pop up to question whether articles are previously published either in part or wholly elsewhere. These websites will even specify a time when those original content can be used elsewhere so business management skills must be watched carefully otherwise plagiarism can be cited.

This happened to me at helium once before. Very factual issue, Rob.
Well done.
Nice work!
Great info that all of us online writers can use.
Quite relevant and informative.Thanks.
I often say the same things over and over and over so even if I am not copying myself.. in some ways I might be without knowing it.
where did you hear it is plagiarism? You cannot plagiarism your own work. Many sites still allow you to publish your own work, regardless of one it was published before. I still belong to some of those sites. Original work means something different it means first time something was published in the context we are using here.
I have written for asociatedcontent, now known as Yahoo Voices, for almost three years now, as a Featured Health, Wellness, Music, Travel, and Entertainment Writer. I have approximately 400 articles published on that site with more than 200,000 viewers, and I know that Yahoo Voices allows you to publish "Display" only articles that have already been published on other sites. I recently returned back to writing for Factoidz.com, and the more I learn about it the more I enjoy writing for it. I really appreciate that articles published on this site have to be factual information and ORIGINAL pieces. I think that makes for a much better site.
Impressive read and the information are great. Thanks
You are giving me valuable education here and inspiration as well, thanks Roberta.
Good points for writers to bear in mind.
Good information here Roberta.
Thanks a million for these cautions! I sure have learned something from this article. Voted.
I think this shed's light to some difficulties of having some of my work published here. Thank you and tweeted.
Roberta, your articles will always amaze me. Another fine job.
There is so much that Factoidz needs to clear up to keep the site integrity. They ask for factual articles and I see articles on how to pick up women/men, how to detect liars and cheaters. All of these are opinions not facts. With my articles, they were never published on another site, they were just term papers I wrote for school and they claim it is not original content. Anyway, I can back for a refresher from your article and a well deserved vote up.
Well said.
Writing and posting original contents online increase the page rank of a website as well as traffic. It is important not to copy contents from other websites as it could be traced by the search engines and might be the cause of deindexing the entire webpage or even the website. Thank you for sharing us, keep it up! (LIKED and SHARED)
Excellent information!
